Salary: €70,000 - €80,000The Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing & FPGA Developer, in this role, you will play a key part in the development of cutting-edge space communication systems, ensuring adherence to aerospace standards, and delivering top-tier hardware for spacecraft and satellite missions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating digital signal processing solutions and FPGA-based hardware that meet the highest aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement FPGA solutions for modulation, error correction, and high-throughput communication systems, meeting aerospace standards.
- Develop Software-Defined Radio (SDR) modems compliant with ESA TT&C deep-space transponder standards.
- Create and validate FPGA solutions using manual and automated HDL techniques.
- Implement DSP solutions for modulation, ranging, and tracking, ensuring CCSDS and ECSS compliance.
- Verify DSP blocks with MATLAB/Simulink models and validate hardware on platforms like Xilinx Zynq and Microchip PolarFire.
- Deploy and optimize encoding/decoding schemes (e.g., RS, Turbo, LDPC, BCH) and generate IP cores.
- Provide technical documentation and support for production and testing of flight hardware.
- Expertise in digital signal processing and FPGA design.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and HDL (VHDL/Verilog).
- Proficient in implementing modulation schemes (e.g., BPSK, QPSK, GMSK) and error correction algorithms (e.g., Reed-Solomon, Turbo, LDPC).
- Familiar with space communication standards (ESA TT&C, CCSDS, ECSS).
- Knowledge of aerospace hardware platforms (e.g., Xilinx Zynq, Microchip PolarFire, ADRV9002, AD9361).
- Experience designing deep-space communication systems.
- Understanding of ESA aerospace hardware quality standards.
- Hands-on hardware testing experience (e.g., TVAC, vibration, radiation).
- Familiarity with SDR modem design for flight applications.
- Proficiency in scripting or software development (Python, C++).
