Location: Luxembourg

Salary:  €80,000 - €90,000

The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee and lead the development, scheduling, and execution of multiple product lines for ESA programs. As a key member of the team, you will take full ownership of program management, including planning, scheduling, and executing products initiatives. You will work closely with the engineering team, monitor progress and performance, identify risks, and take proactive measures to ensure that all products meet industry and quality standards and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of the project and serve as the primary customer contact, providing necessary reports, updates, and facilitating reviews for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the project’s lead systems engineer to manage the project’s schedule, budget, resources, risks, tasks, and compliance requirements.
  • Execute the project according to established milestones, budget, and quality standards, ensuring the delivery of relevant documentation to stakeholders.
  • Engage in business development activities
The Must-Haves:
  • Proven expertise in organising and managing project timelines, budget control, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
  • Ongoing program status updates and handling customer requests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Proficient in English, with clear, prompt, and professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership.
The Nice to Haves:
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and methodologies.
  • Project management certification, such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI, or similar.
  • Previous experience in the space sector or a strong understanding of the commercial space industry.
  • Experience in coordinating engineering and business activities with a focus on profitability.
  • Familiarity with space industry standards and procedures, particularly ECSS-M.
  • Understanding of electronics design, manufacturing, and testing processes.
  • Knowledge of space hardware product assurance techniques and the qualification process.
